A sign that Mittens the Kitten's spirit is still hanging around

I brought out the food, this morning, and fought back tears because there was just one grey sweetheart waiting for me - Scooter, Mitten's sister.

I started filling the bowls and Scooter came running up, straddling one bowl while eating out of another. She actually let me nudge her over, and then allowed some extended scritching - something that just hasn't happened in the past.

So, now to adjust to the new normal.
