Related: About this forumJust discovered something my calico "Charlotte" loves!
My calico "Charlotte" was looking around my chair, while I was eating a little vanilla pudding.
I dropped on the floor a little glob, and Charlotte really went to town, licking it up!
I didn't give her any more, but she cried, asking for more!
I didn't know cats love pudding!
cat that loved whipped topping. Got in bad habit of giving it to her every night. Probably not a great idea.

(12,402 posts)I am willing to stand corrected, but the product is mostly air and a small amount of sugar.

(16,497 posts)We had a cat with this problem. He adored milk, ice cream, etc., but we had to make sure he ever got hold of anything dairy. If he did, stinky diarrhea would ensue, along with some very smelly farts.
The latter were of the "silent but deadly" variety, so there was never any warning, just a sudden overpowering "aroma"!

(292 posts)that she likes the juice from a watermelon! One of my cats is not the least bit interested in any human food unless it is margarine, butter or whipped cream. I only ever give her just a dab. She is a bit of a butterball herself!

(23,147 posts)We had to start keeping our butter in a sealed dish or every morning the butter had a huge trough licked in it. I can't let him sit on my lap if there's butter near me because he will jump up on the table for it. He knows he's not allowed on the table or counters and now that the butter is unavailable to him, he's obeying the rules. He's made an excellent transition from sick cat colony cat to more healthy indoor (mostly) cat.
