my good doggo friend Lula has crossed the bridge today

She was 15, fairly old for her breed (miniature Australian Shepherd), and left an oversized pawprint on my family.

Goodbye true friend, we will meet again someday soon at the end of the rainbow bridge.

Meanwhile, I will contemplate the lessons you taught us, of love and loss, joy and grief, beginnings and endings, and jumping onto tall kitchen counters to eat the banana cream pie.

I'm touched, in a good way.

Memories of her running on the football field at a nearby high school, chasing birds in the grass. She was super fast but the swifts always got away. I don't think she knew what she would have done if she caught one anyway.

And I still miss her. My deepest condolences. Lula was more of a child than a pet, I'm sure.

Ever since mine died 2 years ago when ever I hear of another doggie dying I cry too. Dogs are so much better than people. If mine isn't in "heaven" then I don't want to go there since it wouldn't be heaven without her.

I have had odd "visits" after both of my dogs and from my dad after they died. Unless it happens to you, you never believe either but once you experience many of them you are a believer. Something happens after you die but who knows for sure. I do KNOW that my dad is taking care of my baby too. And I am an Atheist.
