I haven't seen the mama feral Skittish in over a week. Close to two weeks.

She was Mittens the Kitten and Scooter's mom and an every day meal guest for about 3 years so I am pretty sure she's on the other side of that Rainbow Bridge. Nothing would make me happier than to see her turn up but I'm not hopeful.

In Seattle they have a spay program for ferals and then they clip their ear to show they have been spayed. We had a Momma cat that dropped about 3 litters on us and we were able to finally capture her and get her to the vet and she eventually found a home. We found homes for all the babies as they lived with us for a while to get ready for their new homes.

And they limit intake to Tuesday through Thursday, 7 to 9am. That can get very expensive.

Skittish was trap shy. They neighbor tried for the longest time, with no success. She did have one more litter of 3 that looked exactly like her. Only two are still around.

A friend is coming to visit and she has a LOT of experience with ferals. Maybe my luck will change.

friend - ferals are very tricky to work with, it takes time time time and lots of luck. I hope Momma feral is ok and will show up again. Thank you for taking care of those babies.

I was watching Arthur and Madoc as they watched some of the ferals eating and I had to smile. I wonder if they have any notion of how good they have it (because I found them so early) compared to their outdoor cousins. I'm going to snuggle them extra, tonight.
