Tonight's kitten report

I managed to pick up Mysterio, the gray kitten, for a VERY brief time. Hopefully he is figuring out I'm OK. He's still limping.

As for Gwyn, I picked him up and put him on my lap, as usual. Normally when I take my hands off of him he will hop back down. Tonight he didn't. He sat for a while and then proceeded to wash my arm. And Eira accepted an extended amount of scritches.

Also, the pretty tabby will now play with the stick I wave along the ground. AND chases it back and forth. I tried moving it a little closer to me with every pass and the kitty kept getting closer. Then, all of a sudden it realized exactly HOW close we were, and scuttled back a bit. But that's progress over when I would be greeted with a frantic scamper out of the yard.

I picked up some straw to make a more comfy bed beneath the wood rack for the kittens. I'm also going to raise it with another pair of paving stones.

I actually wonder if it's his paw that's bothering him.

I'll keep my eye on him. My cat rescue expert friend gets here on Sunday. I'm hoping to see lots of progress.

I'm sure you will do. Maybe the two of you will be able to get all 3 kittens. Then you can get a better idea of the limping problem, too, as well as getting this batch of kittens ready for adoption.

I'm hopeful they will want at least one of the kittens.

9. Yup. Now that she's comfortable with me, and in the back yard, she might be easier to trap

I have a can of sardines to use as a lure into the humane trap. Then I'll try for Spooky, although that might be tough. She's pretty wary, as is Skittish.

10. I've caught several feral cats using KFC original recipe. I don't know what the magic is.

Willow loses her damn mind when I bring that stuff home. I can't let her have any, because she has such a sensitive stomach. But she sure does want it. I try to eat it with a closed door between me and her after giving her a treat of some kind that I know won't disagree with her.
