It seems that decision has already been made. By Carys.

(115,615 posts)as she understands more and more that she's safe and loved. She'll soon be a cuddly lap cat like the others.

FuzzyRabbit
(1,967 posts)He had spent seven years in a chaotic house (autistic kids plus another cat that bullied him relentlessly.)
After he became familiar with my house and me, I started giving him gabapentin (prescribed by his veterinarian) for a few weeks, and now he is a calm, gentleman of a cat.
Gabapentin also helped my sister's cat who had been traumatized prior to her taking the cat in.
Talk to your veterinarian. Perhaps gabapentin will help your cat also.

Fingers crossed I can get her into the carrier, next week, and we'll go to the vet to get her vaccinations started and schedule her spaying.
