Those porch kitcats sure do take advantage of the litter boxes.

Bad weather AND good weather.

I am going to buy a couple more. It kind of surprises me because they do have the entire outdoors to use but sure like those boxes.

Late March or April, depending on the weather, I'll start transitioning them back outside. I'll have several more shelters in place by then.

I think it's because the litter helps them better hide the scent. Just my supposition

He came with the house when we bought it and was semi feral and living outside. We lured him in through a cat door, but he has never used a litter box. I’ve seen him, in the dead of winter, rush out through the cat door, pee under a bush, and rush back in.

They do spend a lot of time indoors. The weather is going to be in the 40's and supposedly we will finally get some sunshine so things will dry up. It will be interesting to see if they spend more time outdoors.

I definitely plan to do a good sweep out of all of the 'stray' straw that's all over the place.
