Gryff has perfected the art of 'fainting' for attention

Just about every time I walk in to a room where he's at, he stands up and then gets spaghetti legs and plops on the floor. His eyes transmit the message 'Only you can save me with some scritches!!!' Of course, I scritch.

And now Merlin is starting to do the same thing.

I fear that I am an overly indulgent kid cat mom.

Tadji, my nephew’s cat, has me trained that way too! Tadji is a black cat. I’m told black cats are friendlier. When he sees me he meows and flops to the floor, inviting belly rubs, ear scritches and massages between his eyes, up his forehead! He rubs his teeth against my fingers but doesn’t bite. He shows claws but never scratches.

He’s a really cool cat!

and with their staff, oops, humans. Personally, I do not think theere is such a thing as an "overly indulgent" kitcat mom.

He needs to be picked up and cuddled before his bones will solidify again.

I've always felt, rightly or wrongly, that people who don't spoil their pets are guilty of abuse.

Extra scritches for Gryff and Merlin for their clever theatrics!
