Jury Nullification Gut Check

Jury nullification is not some esoteric concept! We must talk about it more, even if we can't say it in the courtroom, we must be willing to use it as a juror to act as the last line defense of against conservative feelings-based laws that take our country backwards and put people in danger.

Here's what I see on clean search engines in order to eliminate bias:

Google

Bing

DuckDuckGo

Not bad for a concept people think they can't even talk about. We must create a role for ourselves to blunt regressive conservative vibes-based laws to protect civil liberties. If conservatives make something illegal, it is your duty to nullify it in the jury box.

Not being willing to nullify regressive laws in the jury box will not stop them. Simple as that.

Let's do what we can to get these talked about more and spread awareness of this concept.

can make changes happen to bad laws. At least here in this state, that's the way the laws changed for pot. Of course, we STILL don't have it legalized here, but juries began refusing to send people to prison for possession. And so, at least, consequences for simple possession were changed.

I see it as one of the last lines of defense we the people have to influence the country. Voting certainly doesn't work when you've got cheating and satellites and all kinds of election and elector misdeeds.
