The shot falls in predictable areas. It is dug up, washed, screened, and bagged. Reloaders buy it and use it. Its considerably cheaper than new.

I would be using steel shot. Not only is it better for the environment, but I am too lazy to try to figure out where it is still legal to use lead shot.

Oh and plenty of rifle & pistol target shooting, with FMJ & lead bullets, often enough back then. A hillside was usually the backstop, even at PD ranges.

But I do most of my shooting these days in an indoor range with a state-of-the-art capture system so none of it gets into the environment. Be nice if the anti-gunners would stop their nonsense so I could get some M855A1 which is lead-free.

If that qualifies as "AP", most indoor ranges would frown on it. Is it legal for non-military use?

Being lead-free, it's probably better for the general environment. In particular, it's better for the fish in Lake Erie, where the bullets fired through targets at Camp Perry splash down.

That's perfectly legal, depending on the state, as are many steel cored and steel jacketed milsurp ammo. I have a spam can of surplus M2 AP for my Garand. No, can't shoot the stuff at most indoor ranges.

Drain Hetchy Hetchy and pay for your water. We all lost a great canyon to SF's water demands. But it's only your crusade so explain it anyway you can.

and to show how wrong you are, I post on environmental topics and anti-poverty topics and civil rights topics all the time.

obviously when you're referring to me and a "crusade" you don't have any idea what you're talking about AND are likely mixing me up with someone else.

I don't believe you have ever posted on this topic before (draining Hetch Hetchy) as well as the visceral hatred of the Bay Area that came out of nowhere related to water.

or have we we interacted on this topic before? hmmm?

Been here 30+ years. I'm not a fan of SF (Giants excluded). I worked in SF when they built that long pipe line, at the end of Ocean Beach, out into the ocean to dump their sewage. It really turned me off on the City. I've done a lot of reading about Hetch Hetchy and understand that that canyon was as grand if not more grand than Yosemite. It pisses me off that it was destroyed to provide water to SF. Again, I love the Bay Area once you get outside of the concrete jungles.

I shot some clays at a multipurpose shooting range (outdoor) and in my back yard, and I've been pheasant hunting. Bagged a few, missed a few more. Whatever didn't go into a bird went into the prairie.
