All gun shows halted in Maryland county

http://www.wtop.com/58/3227957/All-gun-shows-halted-in-Maryland-county

WASHINGTON -- A decision by a Maryland county is roiling the already contentious debate over potential gun control laws.

Prince George's County's Department of Parks and Recreation is banning gun shows indefinitely.

"It is a temporary moratorium. We will revisit this," says Anita Pesses with the agency's Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. "We are taking everybody's opinions and actions into account."

Pesses is promising the department will re-evaluate its decision after lawmakers in D.C. and Annapolis are done debating possible gun control bills.

Guns will still be bought and sold, just like they always have.
More feel good, do nothing posturing.

Open up the NICS and require sellers to use it.

If someone owned a building and wanted to have a gun show on his property they could not stop him.

The gun shows will just move to a privately owned place. Problem solved.

but at least the money will go to Howard County instead. I don't like when my county does stupid crap like this for no real reason. On the other hand, Maryland gun shows usually aren't much to look at compared to VA or PA. I wouldn't bother moving to private property in a hostile county -- better to take away the revenue altogether.

There is a reason I refer to it as: The People's Republic of Maryland. I can't wait till uncle sam moves me somewhere else.
