Gun Control & RKBA
Related: About this forumDangerous Gun Locator App for Android Phones.
Google Play Store on July 7, brought out a gun locator app for android phones. It is called Gun Geo Locator. After downloading the app you mark the location of place where you think the gun owner may be irresponsible. As of this morning when I looked at it there were a little over a thousand reviews.
About 25 gave it five stars,
1 gave it four stars,
1 gave it three,
1 gave it two,
and well over a thousand gave it one star.
Since it is a free app I installed it on my android. It showed my town as being free of any dangerous guns.
The map does not move so you can't look at other locations than within a few miles of your own location.

(15,396 posts)Not a very useful app....I'll stick to my bike computer app instead.
17 miles yesterday evening after my sons football camp ended for the evening. We're supposed to ride to camp this evening...should be a good 2.5 mile warmup for him before practice.

(240 posts)I installed it, and found it under whelming.
It's not entirely useless though.
I plan on using it to tag gun stores, or bussiness that sell firearms, ammo, accessories and leave helpful comments like: "excellent prices on ammo", "has indoor range", "full-auto heaven", "shop owner is a wanna be SEAL with rip off prices... stay away".
It could come in handy if looking for stores in an unfamiliar community, especially when traveling out of state.

(3,731 posts)as I'm sure they didn't intend it to be used in that fashion.
Gotta wonder, did they even anticipate that?
