New York recovers 254 guns in 'largest-ever guns bust'

New York City police have arrested 19 people in what authorities are calling the city's largest-ever guns bust.

Police recovered 254 firearms, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said.

The guns were brought to the city from the US states of North and South Carolina by traffickers travelling on buses, authorities said.

"Year after year guns flow into our city from states that don't have common sense gun laws," Mr Bloomberg said on Monday, adding that North and South Carolina were among the top three sources of guns used in crime in the city.

pays off. It's sadder when people like Bloomberg try to spin this sort of thing into an argument for stop-and-frisk, or into support for interfering with the non-criminal folks...

to share among 9,000,000 people.

Wonder what laws he wants in place in SC to protect his state?

Roll back 60% of their shitty laws and there won't be a flow, the people will have legal access to self defense firearms.

That, along with "reasonable restrictions", has to be among the most overused, irritating and meaningless, gun control talking points uttered.

And thinking that it would be safer to make the deals at the bus station? Sheesh...double sheesh if it's true if the undercover officer was "his only customer..." Darwin Award, please.

I imagine it isn't a legal one that was registered before 1986.

Concentrate on criminals with guns, and spend more time doing it above the Mason-Dixon line.
