carjacking and robbery gone wrong.

Austin and Mims demanded the man’s keys and cell phone, then got into his vehicle to drive off. But as they turned to back away, the victim pulled out his own weapon and opened fire, shooting through the driver’s side window and front windshield. He was a concealed handgun license owner.

Interesting little twist, he seemed to have agreed to be a victim but turned the tables when least expected. It's nice that he was successful in getting two of these guys off the street, but I'm a little conflicted in the style...fight like you train.

Based on the lack of details in the article, the victim and the DA may need to negotiate on the late use of force; but I do not fault the outcome.
