R.I. Senator Miller apologizes for responding with an obscenity to gun-rights activist

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Sen. Joshua Miller, D-Cranston, has publicly apologized for hurling an expletive at a gun-rights activist during a recent demonstration at the State House.

After his comment was displayed in a YouTube video that had been sent to news outlets, Miller issued this statement: “Regardless of the emotions and atmosphere of the moment, it does not justify the language I used that day. Out of respect for the decorum of the State House and the constituents I represent, I offer my apologies.”

In case any of you don't want to watch, one comment in the flood of right wing spam on Providence Journal Online describes it:

This is on Infowars...The person recording has a large camera and puts a large microphone in front of Miller, it isn't a hidden camera off the cuff reaction, someone put a mic in front of him, and he tells him to "Go f** yourself" with a smart smirk on, and then a campaign staffer goes out of his way to lean into the mic to say the same!!!

Another comment says:

...the fact that he was so easily baited by Dan Bidondi at InfoWars is even more ridiculous. Bibondi's work and tactics fall short of incisive journalism by several orders of magnitude. If Miller can't handle Bibondi, then he's lacking political acumen.

And other comments mention that this story has made Glenn Beck's The Blaze website, The Blaze being a right wing ripoff of the Huffington Post. I'm sure some of you have seen this video posted on Facebook, no?

And why wouldn't Josh Miller answer a legitimate question? If he had given an answer instead of giving Bidondi a soundbite, then this would be a non issue.

At least a few anti gun nutters are honest in their contempt for gun owners and the bill of rights. I'll give credit where credit is due, at least they're no longer saying they support reasonable common sense laws as a guise to hide their true agenda.

Those links are to a previously banned anti-gunners posts. An anti-gunner who is now here under another name. Read some of those posts, and you should find sufficient to answer your questions.

Now the question becomes whether you're so blind you wont see them, or not.

Are you as ready and willing to denounce such behavior now that I've given you the evidence that shows its true, as you are to attack me for pointing it out?


If not, you're implying that comparing guns and gun ownership to child porn is a progressive value, which even the most die hard anti-gunners know is false.
