Hope you do not have to wear gloves and use it. Hope you do not sweat or get a cut on the printed finger.

Let the police and military test it out. Put it up for sale and let the market decide but I would not get it, Just another point of failure of the firearm.

There was another teenager in the news today who created a device to locate people who wander off - like his grandfather does on occasion. Some kind of beeper - I love these kids.

As time goes by, perhaps it can be perfected and be of some use. Problems crop up when legislation and its intent moves beyond safety and security, to prohibition by another name and method.

This kid is right about not waiting on government. If the concept is shown to be anvil-reliable and of inconsequential expense, the technology may become industry standard (and necessarily popular) well before a bill is conjured up.

This reminds me of "energy saving" devices, like motion sensor light switches and faucets.

They dumb us down, they disengage our brains from the gravity of our decisions.

Will this new technology end the unsafe practice of leaving guns around or encourage more of it, since they're "safe" and everything.

he can always put the printer to good use and roll his own functional firearms...

Some of the $50,000 has already been used to purchase a 3D printer to create new parts for his prototype.

If only certain states hadn't mandated this tech, and if it was an original idea, gun companies would be throwing money at him.
