The man who launched an early morning attack on the Dallas Police headquarters has a history with law authorities, causing a lockdown in 2013 after threatening to kill his family and shoot up schools and churches near Paris, Texas.
A man who identified himself as James Boulware, 35, was reportedly shot and killed by police this morning after launching an attack on police headquarters from a heavily armored van described by its manufacturer as a Zombie Apocalypse Assault Vehicle and Troop Transport firing on police cruisers and leaving bombs in the parking lot.
In 2013 , Boulware was involved in a family argument, choking his mother and assaulting his uncle, before going to his brothers house in Paris, where he took multiple weapons, ammo, and body armor, according to KXII.
Later, during a face time call over the Internet, he threatened to kill all of the adult members of his family, as well as making a vague threat about schools or churches along the way.

I see.
More from the "ridiculous hyperbole, attempted shaming, and attempted guilt projection" talking points.
I'm waiting to see how "felon prohibited from owning firearms who therefore acquired them illegally" is going to be any more relevant to the Second Amendment than it was to the Charlie Hebdo shooting. I'm sure he has something in mind other than what you said.

(19,497 posts)I've heard he had automatic weapons but journalists are notoriously bad at properly identifying guns. However, if correct he would have acquired the guns illegally. Not through a dealer or private sale nor even the infamous gun show.
He also used pipe bombs, which are definitely illegal.
Your article also makes note of the fact he choked his mother showing any means of inflicting harm was his intention.
Someone like that obviously cannot be stopped by laws. The only thing that stopped him was force.
