‘Pro-Life’ Governor Determined To End Abortion Enables Gun-Running Killers

http://thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/pro-life-governor-determined-to-end-abortion-enables-gun-running-killers/politics/2012/03/01/35552

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell has made a name for himself as an extreme conservative, and today we can add the words “insensitive” and “heartless” to his resume — along with “hypocritical wholesale enabler of gun runners.” On Monday morning this week, in a horrific tragedy, five teenagers were shot in their Ohio high school cafeteria, with one dying on the scene. The following day, Tuesday, another teenager died, and one was pronounced brain dead. Hours later, that teen died as well, raising the death toll to three.

Also on Tuesday, Bob McDonnell, Governor of Virginia, home to the Virginia Tech Massacre, the deadliest shooting incident by a single gunman in U.S. history, sat down and signed a bill into law removing Virginia’s one gun per month limit on hand gun purchases.

Last week, Governor McDonnell held a conference call — not even an in-person meeting, but a conference call — with the families of the victims of the Virginia Tech Massacre, after they urged him to meet with them. One person who was on the call, Paul Read, who lost his daughter in the Virginia Tech Massacre, said the call lasted only 30 minutes and Governor McDonnell’s opening statement included expressing his “duty to protect the Second Amendment.”

One wonders why Governor McDonnell felt so strongly about protecting the Second Amendment, and not any of the others. As Eric Segall at Slate recently wrote, “the Supreme Court, made up of all men, ruled that the use of contraception is a fundamental right protected by at least five provisions of the United States Constitution.”

I haven't bought a handgun since January....I think that's going to change this month.

My question is...

M&P 40

Ruger P345

Sig SP2022 in 40

Ruger SR40

M&P 45

Decisions, decisions.

I hope to pick up my AA stripped lower this weekend if it comes in. Then I can start my 300blk build.

The adjustable grip pieces really fit my hand well. I'd look at the M&P40 too.

Please share how the blackout build goes! lol I'm thinking SPC or Grendel next.

but I'm thinking a 300 out of spare parts I have here and there is an easy budget item right now. I'm hoping it catches on and makes ammo affordable. I also want to hunt (short range) deer with this. Hunting was the only reason I wanted to do a 6.8 and I'd still love to do a 6.8 maybe a 6.5 but for now that's just a few dollars out of reach.

I have a M&P 9c and I love it..I haven't laid hands on a 45 yet but I have looked over and felt the 40, nice I really like the size and width.

45s I strongly considered the M&P, but since it was my first 45, and I'm old school, I went Rock Island tactical 1911. No regrets. Now I'm thinking of something a little more up to date and a different caliber, so the M&P 40 is back on my short list. I like the rail, I like the changeable grip heel, and the thing just feels right in my hand where a Glock feels like a 2x3.

Still thinking about those intermediate rifle calibers. It's cool to have enough, or almost enough spare stuff to build something new though!

I picked up my first snubbie in .38 over a year ago and my daughter promptly swiped it at our last range session.

So I started looking for a replacement. It took the better part of a year but I finally picked up a lightly used Ruger 605 in .357 with a Crimson Trace grip last October. Then a week later I ran across a very clean 1st generation Charter Arms Undercover in .38 for less than $100 with the original Charter Arms leather holster and had to pick it up too.

Now I'm flush with snubbies, but I think my Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-Spec is feeling left out and needs a range trip this weekend.

L.A. No concealed carry, no carry at all, so small isn't a big issue for me. I've got a 4" S&W 586 which is probably as close as I'll get to snubbie for a while. I love that SA 1911 though! Definitely a step or two up from mine, which is also feeling left out as I spend an too much time on the rifle line.

why the ACLU refuses to protect the Second Amendment, yet does all the others. You can find hypocrisy everywhere...no side has a patent on it.

Is a strong advocate of gay rights and gay marriage, but is in denial with regard to the Constitutionally protected RKBA.

What a sad little man.

It doesn't fit the marketing plan for their business model. What was it Gordon Gekko said?
