(17,502 posts)to have access to a keyboard let alone a gun.
Tuesday Afternoon
(56,912 posts)better a keyboard than a gun, amen.
I told DanTex I would point out these tactics when I saw them and asked him to do the same for me when he saw them coming from a 2A poster.
Kind of wish now that I had made a bet as to who would rack up the most in a certain amount of time.
Tactics like this in some groups would not be tolerated. I know we have thicker skin in here but, it is keeping the rest of DU from participating and confusing Jurors on how to adjudicate post in this group. I seek to edify DU.....
Thanks for commenting.

(15,396 posts)These people believe that anyone who supports the 2A is an idiot, too stupid to be a true democrat so they have to be a troll.
Tuesday Afternoon
(56,912 posts)I see it as incendiary flamebait and disruptive and trollish behavior on their part....also the condescending passive aggressive tone is NOT conducive to civil discourse.

(15,396 posts)someones weakness if you've spent enough time to learn them. Bait them here, then there, wait a few days bait them again...then pick the right time and spring the trap.
And giggle like a school girl when one of your enemies are baited enough to where you're whining gets them canned.

(15,396 posts)Was a constant fixture in flame wars in that forum. Repeated attempts to badger the Admins into banning people via the alert function. Constantly surly and rude, asshat had become pretty much the epitome of "making DU suck." She received an enormous amount of feedback from other DUers indicating that she was disruptive and divisive and was given ample opportunity to modify her approach, but instead chose to believe that the problem was everybody else on DU.

Tuesday Afternoon
(56,912 posts)what was SO wrong with what he said? He is a Noob, so what? OF course she is reading here and posting there. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT.
gejohnston
(17,502 posts)but I'm guessing we will never see an explanation.

(56,912 posts)and people wonder why people self delete.
I don't blame the dude.

(26,602 posts)I'd be curious to see that alert message - I'm hard-pressed to imagine any legitimate reason to alert that post.
Ideally, the alerter would step up and explain, but I doubt that will happen...

Returning zombie. He's talking about a previous incarnation of his, under a different username. This current account only registered here 4 days AFTER iverglas was banned.
Please hide so it goes to MIRT.
A randomly-selected Jury of DU members completed their review of this alert at Sun Jun 3, 2012, 09:38 PM, and voted 5-1 to HIDE IT.
Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT and said: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT and said: MIRT should evaluate this.
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT and said: I'm giving the Alerter the benefit of the doubt here. But how would most people... errr, jurors know if this poster is a returning zombie or whatever? Or just a low post count newbie slated to become another notch on some "professional troll hunter's" mouse?
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT and said: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT and said: You smell like a dirty sock.

(26,602 posts)In all honesty, I think troll-hunting is a bigger blight on this website than 99% of trolls ever manage to be - the constant peering at low-post-count or unconventional posters is creepily authoritarian and can only chill the conversation...

(13,869 posts)Not that they're the only returning zombie here in the gungeon. I'd even posit most of iverglas' "gungeon fanclub" are such fans precisely because they've been served pizza a la iverglas, often more than once.

(17,502 posts)unless you can recognize the writing style and words used. That is how we busted a zombie anti Loudly, who was pretty obvious to everyone they were a reincarnation of Sharesunited
Like I told you before, simply knowing about individuals or conversations before registration only indicates he or she read the forums before registering.
By your logic, the fact that I read "Top Ten Conservative Idiots" and might remember the content before my registration would make me Lazarus too. I read DU for a couple of years before registering.

I know: duh. At least newbie SGMRTDARMY (dare I add: BBQ) isn't a Dan.
PavePusher and DonP, those inveterate veterans of all the best right-wing sewers of the internet (use the search box on the General Discussion page here, folks), still stinking up DU. Where's Willie when you need him???
BTW, knowing about events and people before registering is not evidence or proof of previous membership. It only means the individual read it before registering, just as iverglas is now.

(6,185 posts)... we were apparently a long term and continuing burr under her saddle.
I like the idea of buying more ammo, but I generally don't need an excuse for that or picking up another unusual or hard to find .22 rifle.
Common Sense Party
(14,139 posts)bleeds and shits DU. Talk about obsessive and narcissistic.
At least now she doesn't have to hear us lesser mortals argue back, and she can try to appear as correct and infallible as she thinks she actually is.

(5,412 posts)Man, am I not sorry to see this person go. I gather from the admin comment on her transparency page that she gave up on the guns forum and instead went on to disrupt the feminism forum.
