Shame on you, don'tcha know that he is the expert here, I mean, after all, he does have an internet psychology degree and constantly analyzes us and tells us whats wrong with us and why we shouldn't own or carry guns.
Is this the person?

Since I don't carry in public, I don't need to get the training required for a permit. You guys wouldn't either if you could leave your home without a gun or two.
As to breaking down 1911 underwater it was just a fun thing that a former member of Coast Guard taught me -- AGAIN FOR FUN. Also, like to sing "Semper Paratus is our guide. . . . . ."

(56,912 posts)I think this is the one main reason that this discussion revolves in an endless circle. It is frustrating that of all the deadly tools available to the masses this is the one that gets all the political attention.

The love/abuse of guns is a national issue which we will have to deal with sooner or later.
The vast majority of gun abusers are right wingers who tote to protect themselves from "poor folks," liberals, and various boogeymen. They care little about the indirect impact of their fetish on society. That's pretty sick IMO.
In any event, if you are so afraid of society that you can't venture out without a gun or two strapped to your body, you need some help. I'm willing to pay extra taxes to fund such badly needed help. It should be covered under health care reform.
Gun addiction/admiration is a national problem. Kiss your spouse, not your gun.
EDIT for the obtuse -- Love your family, friends, and neighbors, not your friggin guns.
SGMRTDARMY
(599 posts)is none of your business, but while we're on the subject, you seem so paranoid of us gun owners that maybe you should use some of the money you are willing to pay in xtra taxes and go see someone on this obsession of yours.

(32,685 posts)Is that the one you are talking about? Seems that poster has had 7 post hidden by juries in the last few months. Must be getting close to not being able to ever insult anyone again.
it's Hoyt's post where he says kiss your spouse instead of your guns.

(32,685 posts)sorry, you were talking about the DU member that has no post hidden by a jury and has earned a 100% chance of serving on a jury.
In that case I must agree with the Queen in Shakespeare's Hamlet

on edit: I doubt anyone even alerted on Hoyt's tripe. Our side is not usually the tattle telling type. I have noticed that the Offensive/Passive Aggressive type tends to antagonize and then alerts when someone defends theirselves. All PP did was call a shovel/ a shovel, imo. ymmv.

(599 posts)and has earned a 100% chance of serving on a jury, you think his post is proper? TA is correct, that is disgusting.
If Hoyt had any class, he would take the initiative and delete the offensive part of his post, which is just about all of it.
safeinOhio
(32,685 posts)forum not proper also. I'm sure his post was no less disgusting as the post that was hidden, it takes a lot for a jury to hide a post in the Gun Control & RKBA (Group). On the other hand I see many here insulting him in threads that he has not even posted on. Now, I do find that disgusting.

(110,159 posts)have a grasp of the issue or peoples interest in a gun. you might ought to actually listen to people and try to at least have a little understanding why they choose a gun. but it is obvious from your post, your only intent is to insult people. what does that say about you?
and understand. i have never owned a gun and have no interest in owning a gun.
i hope the post is alerted on and hidden.
