Respecting the rights of the minority...

...is a key to our form of government. At the link:

...is a poll where (as of this writing) twelve percent of the respondents have an issue with the Second Amendment. Here's a place to note the issues; tell us what needs to be changed or even you prefer to scrap it whole and why.

I just curious how you would change the 2A. A discussion like this is a productive one.

in public without a darn good reason. Exceptions for hunting, target shooting, etc.

Although I think we'd be better off to turn off the gun producing industry, I don't have a real problem with folks having a few sane guns at home for home protection, and the revolution if it comes.

I don't think the 2nd Amendment has to be changed to do that. I do think that as long as right wingers are in office, we'll just coast along for another decade or so. Then, there will be another 100 million guns in circulation that we will have to deal with.

I have quite an extensive collection of rifles, including what has been often described as assault weapons by people who don't know jack about weapons, numerous handguns, thousands of rounds of ammo and all the acc. that go with them.
Why do you have a problem with that if I am legal to own them?
There is no difference to collecting firearms as there is to collecting old classic cars.
Maybe I just don't understand why you think that we are a danger to society or have a mental problem because we enjoy firearms.

Shotguns of proper length.

You know safe guns.

I had a friend in college that when arguing firearm policy always said the only firearm people should be allowed to own was a single shot 20ga.

I suppose in a way he's right.

20ga can be used for home defense.
20ga can take small game
20ga with proper sabots can take large game.
20ga could be carried in two pieces for conceal carry (yeah I always thought that was funny.) LOL

Did I forget to mention this guy had a pretty large array of firearms and was a avid shooter and hunter.

For is winning at 68 to 8. If anything it shows how many DU'ers are into guns. Its not a republican cause.
