I think the problem is violence in general, not just guns.

After reading this CBC news article "Quebec acid attack victim has mobility of 'an infant'", I thought: restricting gun rights won't wipe out violence, as people will just seek other ways to harm others, like in this case acid attacks, and no one is calling for acid control (or baseball bat control or golf club control or control of ANYTHING that can be mis-used to harm people).

All the gun control that fits under the 2nd amendment won't be enough to prevent violence.

what something other than a gun can do to someone. A 2X4 with a nail can kill or maim just as well as a gun, a broken bottle can cause slash or penetration wounds that will also maim or kill just as well as a gun.
Someone who wants to harm someone else will always find a way, firearm or not.

Violence is anti-social behavior threatening and / or inflicting physical harm on others. I support heavy handed laws against violent conduct.

Put the blame where it belongs - on the individual's conduct, not on some inanimate object.
