A suggestion on Gun Forum google dumps

by persons un-named but well known.

Ignore them. Simply use the ignore function to ignore the poster and his/her dumps fall down into the bit bucket. They never contribute anything to the conversation anyway so you won't be missing intelligent insight into why they feel the way they do.

Just a suggestion.

With that click, my page is now clean.

I've made the same suggestion to the whiners in this group before. They won't take my advice, maybe they'll listen to you.

Some people seem to think the more threads they start, the more important and informed they are

Not much ever added to the conversation anyway.

Threads....stuff that brings us together. Not just flame bait to get a rise out of the "other " side.

"For evil to triumph, good men must do nothing"

Note: There is some dispute over that quote, though it is widely attributed to him

...that I also like:

Monsignor: Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.

Connor: Destroy all that which is evil.
Murphy: So that which is good may flourish.

I'm pretty sure even Sir Edmund Burke would agree that you can ignore annoying people.

I have no problem with people posting news articles from the web, pro or anti-gun, but there must be some commentary by the poster that can be debated.

If the sole intent is to inform me that sometimes crimes are committed with guns, this serves no purpose.

If the poster posts no commentary on the article he quotes, there is nothing to interpret.
