The Fallacy of "Criminals Get Guns from Other Criminals"

via The Four Major Ways Criminals Get Guns

First we need to identify the ways in which they currently do come into possession of weapons. We'll eliminate one common fallacy right away, that criminals get guns from other criminals. This may be true as far as it goes, but it doesn't help us in our analysis. We're interested in the original source of guns that are used in crime. If, for example, a gun is stolen during a burglary and passed from criminal to criminal before being used in a murder, that gun came from "Theft," which is one of our main categories.

He never posts his opinions on DU and you have to go to his Blog to get any information. Each time somebody does, it's a hit that he gets paid for.

I don't know why Skinner and Earl G. choose to let this guy basically advertise on DU, but it's their sandbox.

He also has about 4 separate personalities he uses for different blogs.

Not using his trick to give him blog hits will not limit my, nor anyone else's world view.

But again, feel free to click away and make "Mike B", Jason, "Odinn" et. al. happy and profitable.

but this guys posts are an obvious come on without contributing to DU. He's feeding off DUs membership for profit, and he's using the most scurrilous content he can think of to do it.

You pay for a star because you don't want to pay by looking at ads. But everybody pays. Mike should contribute intellectually and not spam the board with canned propoganda for profit.

This is a good market for that kind of spam. Pro gun extremists won't get much of a click through rate.

He can have all the opinions he wants, but he's feeding off the site. Its just (amateur) disaster capitalism.

You aren't crossposting. You are posting incomplete bait here, to draw traffic to your blog. If you were crossposting, the 'meat' of your point would be in both places.

Why the mods let you get away with this I have no idea.
