Even companies that sell brass, powder and bullets to reloaders are being swamped

From the website of one such company:

"Notice to our Customers: Over the past days, we have begun to experience a much higher than expected volume of orders. We will do our best to fulfill orders as quickly as we can, but we ask for your patience at this time as we make the adjustments necessary to cope with the sudden volume....

Due to the huge influx of orders, shipping turnaround will now take approximately 2-4 weeks "

It appears to me that many gunners think that major gun control legislation is going to be enacted.

I think we aren't helping with all this nonsense talk about total bans of all firearms.

It's silly season, big time.

might possibly result in another tragedy or several in the next year.

This news story does deserve coverage and we need to have a debate on gun control in our nation but the media needs to cover other important events happening in our nation and the world.

I fear that another person who has serious issues is right now planning how to murder even more people or children and go out in a "blaze of glory."

and decides to stock up before they are impossible to buy because of increased demand is mentally ill?

It sure seems that insulting all gun owners and now those who reload their own ammo (which is very common) is great sport here on DU and in the media.

The problem is that insulting gun owners will not lead to any meaningful solutions to the problem of gun violence in our nation. It will only serve to alienate them and cause them to oppose any changes in our current gun laws.

Is it any wonder that NRA membership is increasing at the rate of 8000 a day?
