Recidivism rates between Joe Arpaio's failed "tough guy" policies, and a prison that had inmates working with horses. The inmates that worked with horses learned empathy through caring for them. As a result, the prison with the derided "hippy" programs did more good than the much-hurrahed treat them like crap method.

And Roy Wood Jr. does such a wonderful job with these assignments - he always makes his point, but with humor. This successful program should serve as a model for others since it obviously works - these kids are so proud of their skill and have also learned compassion, a winning combination!
