The ultimate Yoon misrepresentation on this issue is that this area will be more "accessible to the people." How many people have actually been in the Yongsan garrison- Samgakji area. This move is being chosen for exactly the opposite reason. It is easier to block public access to the MND building and its approaches. However, the zoning and building restrictions around the Blue House have been developed to provide better security for the national command center particularly from air and ground attack. This cannot be achieved as well around the MND building because of urban vertical building development around the area. This is also a reason why developers and local businesses oppose the move.
