This year's N.C. Defense Trade Show was the largest ever.
The August event at Fayetteville Technical Community College drew more than 800 members of the defense community, according to Scott Dorney, executive director of the N.C. Military Business Center.
It also highlighted more than 100 companies - including both large national firms and small local businesses.
Defense is big business in this state. It's North Carolina's second-largest industry and a major economic driver here in Fayetteville.
