Reagan air wing official removed

The top enlisted person in the air wing of the San Diego aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan has been removed because of allegations of a continued affair.

Master Chief Petty Officer Brian K. Page was reassigned Tuesday pending the results of an investigation, according to a Navy news release Thursday.

Page had already received administrative action and lost a promotion because of the affair, which he previously had acknowledged, the Navy said. He was allowed to stay in the air wing job because he filed for retirement.

But a new investigation began, and continues, to determine if Page continued the affair afterward.

Had he applied to go CWO/LDO? Apparently, he was selected to be the CMC on the George Bush (weird, from one GOP Prez to his VP/successor) but that's not a monetary "promotion." It's just a bigger gig in the CMC realm.

He's toast.

The Navy has fired Master Chief Petty Officer Brian K. Page, 42, from his position as command master chief of Carrier Air Wing 2 amid allegations he continued an extramarital affair after being reprimanded for the relationship.

Carrier Air Wing 2 is attached to the San Diego-based USS Ronald Reagan.

According to a Navy Times investigation, Page carried on an affair for at least three years with a female chief petty officer. The affair was discovered when the Navy selected Page to become command master chief of the USS George Bush. He didn't get the new job, but was able to keep his old job with CAW 2 because he planned to retire.
