Sales Plummet for Lottery Game That Helps Homeless Veterans (Thanks Rick Perry)

Sales Plummet for Lottery Game That Helps Veterans

It really ashamed when the journalist can't or won't tell the truth about a Veterans Funding story. The real reason sale have dropped is because the public and Veterans found out the Texas Republican Legislature and Rick Perry Diverted the lottery sales money to the General accounting black hole. Very little money or maybe even none has been spent on the homeless and disable Veteran by Stab them in the back Rick Perry and rethuglicans.
Sale went in the crapper. Unless somebody can tell me differently?
Same thing has happened to all of our hunting license and state park revenue. Aye the economy is REALLY booming in Texas as fast as PERRY can divert it to the Black Hole.

I like the way the Illinois Republican is thinking.. Let the homeless veteran shoot a cannon and then hide the money from them also. Maybe these veteran need to shoot the cannon at the there State Capital and do some real good.LOL

Why can't these journalist idiot research a story and tell the truth?

AUSTIN, Texas -- A $2 scratch-off game in Texas created to help fill funding shortfalls for veterans services is plummeting in popularity, even as the state lottery posts record sales overall.

The San Antonio Express-News reported Monday that since Veterans Cash launched in 2009, nearly $20.8 million in ticket sales has helped veterans with everything from housing to counseling.

But the newspaper reports revenue from Veterans Cash sales in fiscal year 2012 was $4.7 million, down nearly 42 percent from the year before. Officials call the drop typical for new games, and the Lottery Commission projects sales will remain at a lower level.

Veterans Cash is the state lottery's only ticket with proceeds going to something other than education. Revenues from the game go to a fund overseen by the Texas Veterans Commission, which is likely to turn down more applications for funding because of less money available.
