My hair has stopped growing.

I'm 77, in excellent health, no Covid ever. Haven't had flu since 1974 and I don't bother with flu shots. Haven't had a cold in at least ten years.

Everyone should be as healthy as I am.

But why my hair should stop growing has me puzzled.

have a full-on immunity to influenza of any kind.

I can't figure out why so many people get a flu shot and still get flu. I never get it. I likewise have not gotten Covid. Never get colds.

I'm old enough that I did have all the usual childhood diseases, measles, mumps, and so on. Meanwhile, my immune system does what it's supposed to: I get a disease, recover, never get it again. For me, that also applies to flu.

Again, some fifty years and no flu -- and I don't exactly live in isolation, never in contact with other humans. Right now I'm in a senior living center (Independent and assisted living) and have not noticed any flu here so far.

crowded NYC buses to go to a crowded NYC high school. I was one of very few who never got it. Me and my mom. So I don’t take the flu shots, either. Just the Covid.

I'm 78. Just look closer in your mirror. It's coming out your nose and ears now.

fall out. Sigh. I always loved my eyebrows: great shape, dark enough. Now you can barely see them.

As in, zero nose or ear hair. Partly because despite my name, I'm female, and we women rarely get nose or ear hair.

The up side to my hair not growing, aside from saving money on haircuts, is that I am happy with the current length and cut.

But it seems weird. I am in a senior living center these days, and at dinner tonight I brought up the subject of hair, and all my companions still have normally growing hair.

Please excuse my jumping to conclusions. Of course it's a guy thing, and I won't try to mansplain your situation, because my hair just falls out before it has a chance to stop growing.

... some person with white and grey hair.

Think of the money you'll save on haircuts! Bonus!
