Angry old white guy here...
I am a white male, 50+ years of age...a stanch Democrat since I was able to vote, and I'm pissed!
I have seen some wonderful, devoted people stalked, alerted on and silenced for simply trying to get the message out that Black Lives Matter. That racism is not only alive and well in the good ol' U.S. of A, but still thriving. And on anonymous forums it is not only thriving but indeed festering.
I have been feeling powerless lately seeing this happening, so I had to do something, and this is what I did today..
I when to the B.L.M official website and I sent them this message:
'I am not sure how to word this. I belong to a political forum democraticunderground.com and at this moment a large number of African American members have come under increasing personal attack because of their support for B.L.M. And similar groups. It has gotten very ugly. The African American Group membership has been decimated by alerts from racists and people who seem to think there isn't a racism prob in this country. Many dedicated posters have been driven off or silenced. If you could please come visit the site and the African American group in particular and see the attacks that are going on as we speak and maybe share the link with your members so they can see for themselves and maybe support those members trying simply to post the truth about attacks on P.O.C. B.L.M's word is being suppressed at DU. Please help if you can. Thank you. __________'
Don't know if it will help, but maybe a few dozen or more B.L.M. members coming to DU and seeing for themselves the censership and maybe even joining DU's ranks will have an affect at changing the balance.
Feels right. Will prob catch S@&T for this but what the hell..
If it gets a hide or worse..well, won't change a thing and I feel at least I've done my part to help, small as it may be. Waiting to hear back from them. Will keep you updated.

If I don't hear anything in a day or so, will sent them another message and maybe some relevant links to posts. I'll keep it up as long as it takes.
Except for days off, I only have Internet in the evening. 6am and work comes early. Will check my post after work tomorrow.
