In caucuses where only 5-7% of the entire damn state voted, he won even in Hawaii so now they're trying act as though things are different because Hawaii is majority non-white. We have no idea what the voter makeup and minority turnout was in Hawaii. And even with Hawaii, Sanders has not won the majority minority vote in a single primary. These folks can shit on Southern blacks until they are blue in the damn face, and it STILL won't change those facts.

Of my high school friends who are black - I probably stayed the closest by moving to Central NJ. Next up is MD. After that - Research Triangle, Atlanta, Houston, Nashville and Miami.

In the subset / clique - I don't know if it was upbringing/background but we were all "First Generation Yankees". We had cultural commonalities that our peers whose families were free people of color in Rochester NY prior to the Civil War didn't have. They were African Methodists or Catholics at a Catholic Prep School - we were Baptists. When you look at my larger circle of friends - they were almost all the children of (first generation) Irish, Italian and French Canadian immigrants.
