Alabama didn't end ban on interracial marriage until the year 2000. That murderer in NYC has a problem with white women dating black men. I read an interesting article on "the Lovings" in the Guardian today. Which prompts my question:

Is interracial marriage/dating something you agree with or disagree with?

answer? Agree or disagree?

To be clear, I do not oppose any kind of marriage between two consenting adults who love each other.

I get ahead of myself sometimes and I then don't proofread. I just slapped my hand. Hope this is more of an explanation for question.

Thank you for the heads up about the Guardian article on the Lovings. It was lovely, however this excerpt made me sad.

In 1959, the Lovings pled guilty to ‘cohabiting as man and wife, against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth’

I get ahead of myself and don't proofread and I end up with the mess I sent out. But I rewrote(added) some clarification as to why I asked question. Thank you for being kind

Just finding out when interracial marriage ban was overturned in Session's state of Alabama infuriated me. And this racist POS is now AG of these whole United States. We are in the early stages of of fascist dictatorship in ameriKKKa. This type of act being overturned relatively recently, murderers with swords pissed off at AA's and inflicting huge pain on his victim, if he had a gun, more dead, and I'm waiting for it, internet privacy overturned, muslim bans, 'walls', a narcissist flying off to his gilded palace every weekend, his children free to meet with the russians involved in his takeover of our way of life, experimental democracy, bannon in D.C. running the government along with the other racist administrators of clownboy-potus is just a lot to perceive. I am worried.

Appalling that interracial marriage was not overturned in Alabama until 2000! Sessions is a cruel and evil man. I know said relationships were a trigger for the death of Timothy Caughman and that these violent acts are escalating from the rhetoric of the new white house inhabitants.

I will never understand the hate, ever. Interracial marriage/dating should be just what the Loving's were about and fought for, it should be the loving, nothing more and nothing less and it ain't nobodies business but their own.

I know you are worried, I am too.

I definitely don't approve of it.

Just kidding.

Interracial/inter-ethnic relationships are very common here in the DC suburbs. The entire world is represented here, and they meet and marry.

in the liberal bubble I reside in, although not many. And in the ones that are out in public I do sense a wariness. Maybe it's just me, but outside of my blue academic area/bubble, this state was manipulated to turn stark red in this last election...russians? I hope so because then that will be meat for our lions to devour, eventually and that's IF they truly are not 'cowardly lions' supposedly representing us in that chaos of D. C.....

I go west/south/north/east of my, so far, safe zone'bubble' and still see a lot of large trump signs and stickers on cars about 'loving trump'. I travel most every day on our roads and highways, so it's first hand experience of which I speak.

Too bad about the return to ignorance and racial/ethnic hate as a 'ruling' class of governance and citizenry, our country is suffering because of it and is the laughing stock of the world.

I live in blue Maryland, and the entire region including northern Virginia is liberal.

I grew up in Oberlin in Ohio, super-liberal spot because of the college, but they have been gerrymandered into a super-conservative district, the 4th. Jim Jordan, extreme Repub Freedom Caucus member is now the congressman. Ohio has the pattern of blue cities and red rural districts.

Here in Maryland I never see Trump signs or bumper stickers, until getting out to far rural areas.
