I discovered last month that I wasn't registered to vote.

I've lived in the same home and have voted regularly, for midterms and the presidential election since 1970. I have received my new registration card so I'm OK. I hope everyone has checked to ensure that they can still vote this year.

2. There was nothing to be said, I renewed online.

Just had to answer the questions and made sure that they coincided with what they had on file, like my driver's license. That was it.

I found it strange that it would happen in Illinois, a Democratic state for the most part.

6. Most of Illinois has been taken over by Fox News.

When I lived in many small towns, from Southern Illinois to Northern Illinois, Fox News was blaring everywhere I went, in banks, restaurants, and doctors' offices. And I watched these areas get redder and redder over the last few decades. I was a little shocked at first. Then it made more sense, as I realized how lily-white and culturally isolated and racially paranoid most of these towns were. And Fox News was playing that for all it was worth. Now the governor is a rich Republicon.

7. Well, I'm hoping that the Republican Governor will be voted out...

then, we will have a rich Democratic Governor. Hopefully, Pritzker will be a little better.
