Storer College was a historically black college (HBCU) in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, established in 1867 by Free Will Baptists and the Freedmen's Bureau to educate former slaves. Operating until 1955, it served as a vital institution for African American education,, often charging low tuition (e.g., $3 per quarter).
