The Ten Thousand by Harold Coyle

a fictional story of American armored division in Germany standing up against new right wing German government to peacefully evacuate from Germany with their equipment.

Officially they are deserters.

Unofficially they are supported by the American government and most Germans.

I didn't see your post earlier. Some little glitch in the system? Anyway...

This books gets lots of good reviews on Amazon. One reader even says this is a "fictional version of Xenophon's Anabasis." Interesting.

It does sound good. I think maybe not so many people want to read about war right now but might make a note to look into it later.
