Edward Paul Abbey (January 29, 1927 – March 14, 1989) was an American author and essayist noted for his advocacy of environmental issues, criticism of public land policies, and anarchist political views.

and exciting. He has a new book titled Spark, which I have not read, but it's now on my list. His Traveler trilogy really opened my eyes to a lot of things that are going on esp. constant surveillance.
