Related: About this forumHow to get a comic "certified"...?
So I have some really great vol 1's and even a signed comic that are all in Mint condition. The ex left them behind years ago and I didn't really know what I had until recently.
I want to find a top dollar way to get these to collectors, and I think the first step, at least with the signed one, is to seek certification. But I am clueless as to how the process works and where to even go to sell. I was gonna do Ebay at first but I think I need to go more specialized...which means I need to learn fast so I don't get screwed.
So first, do i need certification for a signed copy and where/how to find it?

(62,442 posts)if they are "old" pre-1980's then you might have something, but after about 1985, unless they are limited runs, or some kind of variants, they probably won't be worth a whole lot.

I found a comic store nearby that is affiliated, so that may be the way to go

(4,867 posts)They usually only do that if you are there on the spot with them. I had them do that for a Frank Miller and Stan Lee signature.
Alternatively, you could look at CBCS and their service. They were started by a guy that left CGC due to differences. They will use matching to verify a signature. I am looking to do this for a few comics and art commissions I had done
