If you recall, the Hubble Telescope was a failure at first because its mirror was ground to the wrong prescription and needed a space mission to repair it before it worked properly. The mirror was made by General Motors. Some comedian back in the day said something along the lines of...

"What did N.A.S.A. expect?! It said right at the bottom of the mirror...

WARNING! OBJECTS IN MIRROR MAY BE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR"!

which is exactly the opposite of what a telescope does.

another "perfect" joke is
