Unwitting Discarding

What have I done?
Thrown away freedom to the winds
To the far glaciers
To be frozen, a corpse of life
Why did I surrender my will
To the enemy who would enslave
Those who would force my bondage
For their own glory?

Trash upon the heap am I to them
Just another warm body
To be exploited and driven
Until obliteration takes hold
So they can forget that I ever lived
That I ever existed
Just the results of my labor
Will live on

Unwitting discarding of life
Mindless purveyors of pain
What does it mean except to me
That I have lasted this long?
Just a game to them
The drivers of men
So many pharaohs forcing the stones
Up the pyramids

My time is nearly done
My sentence nearly over
To be released from my cell
To a life of uncertainty
So much to fear
So full of danger
As I am pitched off to the side
To the gutter of life

Nevermore needed…no worth to the fiends.
