As starting pitcher Bartolo Colon has been suspended 50 games for a violation of Major League Baseballs Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Colon, 39, reportedly tested positive for testosterone.
Colon is the second Bay Area player to get a 50-game suspension in the past week for elevated testosterone. Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera was suspended Aug. 15.
Colon has enjoyed a resurgence this season, going is 10-9 with a 3.43 ERA.

(31,191 posts)17 were called strikes. 10 were foul balls. 10 balls were put in play (eight outs and two hits). Only one was a swinging strike.

More a matter of control than strength, though endurance plays a part, especially for a 39-year-old.
