The career of the best running back in South Carolina history may have ended today.

I'm hearing that Marcus Lattimore's injury was a broken femur, plus all four knee ligaments torn. Gruesome, and a real pity for a kid that was not only a superb athlete, but apparently someone whom even his opponents really like and respect.

It looked pretty devastating. I hope he gets a good education at USC, because his playing days are likely over.

It looks pretty bad. I remember when Robert Edwards blew out his knee they almost had to amputate. He came back eventually, and even had some success in the CFL, but it was never the same. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Edwards_(running_back)

wasn't as bad as Lattimore, but it was a ligament tear. I'm willing to bet this guy comes back..and you know they'll be NFL teams willing to take a chance on him.
