Thanks for making us irrelevant for yet another year.

(29,322 posts)but I wouldn't use the Notre Dame performance to say that he is.
Notre Dame has one of the nation's best pass defense, allowing 5.5 passing YPA. Jones actually went higher than that at 7.0. Look at QB's stats when they face ND and then overall. Pre-season Heisman watchlist candidate Denard Robinson went 5.8 while throwing 4 picks, Robinson is 8.2 overall. He does have 9 picks to his 9 TDs but he did face some of the nation's best defenses in Alabama (#3), Notre Dame (#11), Michigan St (#12), Nebraska (#19). Oklahoma actually has a better pass defense than Notre Dame but also allowed 7.0 passing themselves.
I don't know highly Landy Jones is rated to begin with, but he has very good numbers and contributed to a lot of wins over the years. Sam Bradford is a tough act to follow but he doesn't seem (to me) to get that kind of hype like a Matt Barkley, Denard Robinson(to begin the year), Geno Smith(few games into the season), and the KState QB(since they defeated West Virginia).

Would another team take him? Please?

(29,322 posts)and my team has Taylor Kelly who is one of the NCAA leaders in passing efficiency. It isn't always on the QB though I think Oklahoma will finish 10-2. West Virginia has one of the worst pass defenses in the NCAA so I'd be very surprised if they lost that one. Iowa State could be tricky as they have a great defense but poor offense. Kansas St and Notre Dame are strong in the key areas you look far, Kansas St is one of the best at offense while Notre Dame is up there in defense but both teams are balanced. Not bad losses, depends on how they finish to see what the record shows me.
