Injuries are a part of the game. They happen. Pats certainly have enough talent to win without him.

... the bangs and slams take their toll. This forearm snap is, um, non-optimal.

Need I say more? The Pats would have to slep-walk through the division in order not to win it!

The Pats are clearly the best team, but the division doesn't have a real dog, either, this year. The NFC North might be better top to bottom, but I wouldn't say that of any of the others.

at this point, the AFC East is rated higher than AFC South and AFC West so they're the 6th best at this point in the season. The NFC North is clearly and far better than the others. Not having a real dog (that depends on how the rest of the games unfolds as any one of those 4-6 teams could finish 4-12 or 5-11) is also saying they don't have a solid #2 like Seattle, Tampa Bay, and Pittsburgh which hurts their ratings among other conferences.

(scroll-to-bottom) http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/nfl12.htm This is strictly for this point-in-time. A lot can happen from here to week 17.

I'll leave the stats to you.

I thought it was understood that I was talking about this point in time. Any of those other divisions could also fall back as the season progresses - that's why they play the games.

I was simply rebutting Joey's assertion that the AFC East is the worst. It might be the least competitive, but I'm not sure that is the same as worst. Depends on your point of view, I guess.

You'll never find me arguing as to the Jets, Bills, and Fins sucktitudity.
