I'll be rooting for them. Alabama is so one dimensional though. I realize they scored the winning TD on play action, but put McCarron in 3rd and long and they're in trouble. ND slows down their rushing game, they've got a good chance..

4. Lets hope so..but isn't ND's strength their defensive line?

Also, they've been living a charmed life...Pitt, Stanford, Barkley getting injured. It might just be one of those years where the best team doesn't win..

Notre Dame hasn't seen an offensive line even close to Alabama's. And Notre Dame doesn't have a quarterback anywhere near as good as Murray, nor a running back anywhere near as good as Gurley, so the Tide isn't going to have to worry about a lot of scoring, but they'll score a lot anyway. Alabama will win something like 35-10 or 38-10.

I can't wait to see the Alabama O-line vs. ND front seven. Should be a great match up.

Georgia deserves to be in a BCS Game, but Florida will probably get the Sugar Bowl invite. I think that winning your division should mean something, but the BCS has always punished championship game losers.

It's been a long time since the Cap One selected the loser of the SECCG.

Cap 1 wanted A&M, but there is pressure on them to take UGA. A UGA-Nebraska means tons of empty seats. Nebraska was there last year, and conference game losers are famous for not traveling well. Two teams that have no business in the Rose and Orange, Wisconsin and Louisville, are making for an ugly NYD bowl lineup. Throw in the possibility of Northern Illinois making a BCS bowl if they make the Top 16, and it gets massive ugly. Top 10 teams like A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma, and LSU are now fighting over the scraps while teams that generate almost no interest play in the Top 4 bowls.

Much of this mess was caused by last night's Nebraska train wreck and the stupid BCS automatic bid crap that puts a 5-loss team in the Rose and Louisville in the Sugar or Orange. Throw in the BCS giving the laughingstock ACC an auto bid, and it's almost a dumpster fire with the big 4 bowls this year. Just think, if Ga Tech had won last night you would have a 7-6 team playing in the Orange Bowl.

13. If the end result of these 16-18 team mega-conferences is a 16 team playoff...

...count me in, Elwood. The Bowls have run their course. 9-10 conference games and the other 2-3 against mega conference opponents. Enough of the fucking cupcake out of conference skeds.

If that tipped pass had just hit the ground, we would have had another shot at the endzone - and the way we were protecting Murray, the way our receivers were getting open, and the way that Murray was zinging the ball, I think we'd have scored that last-second TD.

We sure hung in there. Lots of teams would have folded at the half, or folded after Alabama got back up 25-21. Or gave up in the last minute. We showed a hell of a lot of heart and character, and I'm proud of my team, even though it hurts like hell.

When Alabama brutalizes Notre Dame, y'all will realize how good this Georgia team was to hang in there like we did. This was the national championship game tonight. The next 4 quarters are a formality.
