Boulder is real cool. But CU's football program, athletic department and school suck.
In a college football world flush with money and bankrupt of loyalty, Colorado's Mike Bohn and Cincinnati's Butch Jones make a beautiful couple, don't you think?
With his job as CU athletic director on the line, Bohn needs to hire a winning football coach in the worst way.
And Jones definitely knows how to play the money game. Flattered by attention for a shiny 23-14 record at Cincinnati, recent history suggests he is a football flirt, open to batting his eyelashes at Purdue, North Carolina, UCLA or whatever team might woo him.
The Buffaloes believed Wednesday they had a solid verbal commitment from Jones to become the next CU football coach, entrusted with the daunting task of rebuilding a program that buried the careers of Gary Barnett, Dan Hawkins and Jon Embree.
