FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- With one quarterback change, the New York Jets may have affected the future of two quarterbacks -- Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow.
SNIP
It would be difficult to trade Sanchez because of an $8.25 million guarantee in 2013 in his contract. However, the Jets, who benched Sanchez this week in favor of the unproven Greg McElroy, are taking an open-minded approach and may be willing to start over at quarterback.

Meanwhile, a clearly miffed Tebow, no longer masking his season-long frustration, left no doubt he's unhappy with his role. He will seek to play elsewhere next season, and the Jets appear willing to accommodate his wishes.

Tebow, who has played in only 70 offensive snaps, was at a loss to explain why the Jets wanted him in the first place. "Some things are hard to understand," he said.

ESPN is already going batshit on Tebow yet again.

(7,429 posts)We are now on the Tebow Clock . . .
We will have Ed Werder following Tebow around the country to see what team he wants to play with. Not saying any of those teams want him, though.
Look - they should have just traded him to the Jags. They wanted him. They couldn't do any worse than Henne & the other guy!

(35,446 posts)Tebow is probably going to Canada. And finally, Americans will get payback for Justin Bieber.
Vengeance is ours!

(29,322 posts)Tebow may actually be a better QB than Gabbert but Henne is a significant improvement over him & Tebow.

"So much for the whole bearing good tidings thing. In a roundtable discussion on Monday morning's "Sportscenter," ESPN analyst Merrill Hoge went on a rant about New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow, saying that he's "as phony as a three-dollar bill" and that the New York Jets didn't realize "how bad Tim Tebow was" when they traded for him.
Fellow analyst Ron Jaworski tries to defend Tebow's handling of his yearlong situation with the Jets while insider Adam Schefter attempts to relay a conversation he had with Tebow late Sunday night regarding the ESPN New York report that he asked about of the Wildcat formation for the team's game with San Diego. While both are given time to make their points, they are just lulls between Hoge's fury-laden soundbytes.
"He is not going to win for the Jacksonville Jaguars. All he will do is set the franchise back further if that is a possible feat," Hoge said. "This organization is down as far as you can get. The last person they need is a guy like this now that we're starting to see his true colors."

(65,191 posts)I knew there something i liked about Hoge.
He's calling out the shameless self-promoter who's been cloaking it in phony religiosity since he was in high school. Good for him.
If we have to hear about this over-rated hack on a regular basis, we should at least have someone willing to bash him for his actions, attitude and phoniness.
Of course, he'll land on his feet by going home to Jacksonville where they can't sell out regularly. But, the folks down there who prefer minor league football to the best of the best, will get what they wish for. A minor league quarterback.

(41,692 posts)God I hope J-Ville does bring him in and makes him the starter.
I still get into arguments with Tebow sycophants who think he's nothing but a winner. Oh he won 7 games with Denver--- that makes him great.
Please--- dude is not a very good NFL player...period----and I would love to see that nail hit the coffin in J-Ville.
