GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Vince Young will have less than a month to show whether he can compete for the Green Bay Packers' backup quarterback position. But after his first practice with his new team on Tuesday, Young said he's up to the challenge.
"[It's] no challenge," Young said. "I've been through pretty much everything you can think of. I'm just happy, enjoying this and just happy to be here and being here with some special, special guys."
Vince Young got onto the practice field for the Packers on Tuesday after signing with the team.
After a 30-17 record as a starter with the Titans from 2006 to 2010, Young went to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 as a backup and made three starts (going 1-2). He then signed with the Buffalo Bills in May 2012 but was released before training camp ended.
"Back in the day, I was a young Vince," he said. "Now I'm more mature and definitely learned from things that happened in the past. I'm married now, [a] grown man, 30 years old, kind of like the old head in this locker room."

(32,060 posts)Easy peasy, Vince. Just don't embarrass Aaron and you've got the best job in the NFL. It's not like you're going to have to actually play.
