This is the baseball that I grew up with. I'm sure some of our older Frisco Fans, like Jack Rabbit, will like this too.
I can't believe this is the only recording of those two on GOTW. Man were they better than most announcers today! BTW, Dizzy's brother Daffy owned a Mobil Station not far from me in Dallas.

(20,365 posts)The first expansion teams started this year. They were the Los Angeles Angels and the second Washington Senators, later to become THE TEXAS RANGERS.
I love the fact that nobody wore batting gloves and the did the requisite fiddling with them and slowing up the game.
Were the younger players required to wear helmets with one ear flap?
And how about free agency and the reserve clause?
I've started to watch Ken Burns' Baseball again after many years, so these things come to mind.

(20,365 posts)So he must have been grandfathered in. There probably weren't ear flaps yet. I always thought helmets hurt hitting.
